Contacting Your Florida State Elected Officials
Florida State Senators are elected to four-year terms; currently 40 Senators serve the people of Florida. Each Senator may be elected for more than one term, but may not seek reelection if, at the end of the current term, the Senator would have served more than eight consecutive years.
Florida State Representatives serve two-year terms and are limited to four terms. The House is composed of 120 members, each elected from a single-member district of approximately 180,000 residents.

A Special Note about Vote-by-Mail
Voting by mail is a secure, convenient and easy way to vote. In Florida, an eligible voter who wishes to vote by mail must submit a new mail ballot request each calendar year. The request may be made in person, in writing, by telephone or online. One request is deemed sufficient to receive a vote-by-mail ballot for all elections through the end of the calendar year of the next regularly scheduled general election. The deadline to submit a request for a ballot to be mailed is 5 p.m. local time on the 12th day before an upcoming election.
