https://uwssc.org and Suncoast United Way https://unitedwaysuncoast.org focus on local programs that help fight for the health, education and financial stability for families and seniors who are Asset Limited, Income Constrained yet Employed (ALICE).
Save the Hostages (contact Yael 201 294-7425 or Oded 352 870-7296) organizes Saturday 10 to 11:30am rallies for the 10/7/23 Israeli hostages at Main Street and Lemon Ave, at the Sarasota downtown Farmers Market. Similarly, Run for their Lives https://run4lives.org (local contact Alyssa 415 271-3215) organizes Sundays at 5pm for approx.18 minutes at the same starting point. The groups walk, speak to passersby and hold posters of the hostages, Israeli and American flags. You can just show up.
motorcyclists and their supporters raise funds for Mogen David Adom to help address medical emergency services in Israel. Contact David Kaufman dzkesq1@gmail.com or go to their Facebook page to support the next ride.
